The Coop Group can be broken down into two main areas of business, namely, retail and wholesale/production. In the retail sector, Coop operates exclusively in Switzerland, whereas in the wholesale and production business area, the Group is active throughout Europe. Trusted by the business, the highly capable legal team of Coop is responsible for handling various legal matters as well as making sure the business is compliant in all regards. In 2018 total sales of Coop amounted to CHF30.7bn, an increase of 5% from the previous year. Both retail and wholesale/production developed positively, posting growth of 2% and 9% respectively.
