Made up of a team of 10 professionals, the contracting Accenture legal department is managed by director of legal services Valerio Bruno, who has raised the seniority of the legal department within the structure of the company. The relationship has been strengthened by the consistent focus on talent development and business training which has been emphasised by Bruno who has hired ‘talented’ people who provide value. Amongst its most exceptional members, senior manager Christian Bagnasco is an asset to the department, amassing a solid financial and M&A background and frequently partaking in knowledge sharing initiatives with the legal function. Focused on building a multi-faceted strong team the department has worked on building a function with different competencies, able to produce positive cost results and minimising risk. In order to achieve this the business has had to shift their perception of the legal team to a business advising function making them a core part of the company strategies.
