Philip Morris Dominicana is Philip Morris International’s (PMI) affiliate in the Dominican Republic. As the largest tobacco company in the country, Philip Morris Dominicana is proud to have been able to offer quality products to Dominican adult smokers for more than 40 years and its legal department has been integral to the company’s recent strength and growth. In addition to its professionalism and holding expert skills, members in the legal team are able to contribute to the company through an ability to speak a number of languages and their grasp of inter-regional legislation. Legal director Adelaida Adames leads the legal team to oversee all legal projects related to international law, corporate governance and negotiations. Fully supportive to the company’s initiatives, the legal department supports and guides PMI’s local programs for the prevention of tobacco use among young people. Supporting Adames in handling legal matters for PMI in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean are legal counsels Ramón Lantigua and Noelia Rivera, both of whom are experienced and trusted members of the legal function. Executive assistant, Alexandra Rincòn has also been highlighted as an integral part of the team for offering ‘tremendous support’ to the department.
