Career Biography

Ignacio Arce holds a master’s degree in business law and international business, with a strong track record in business law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance, gained within leading companies in Bolivia’s agribusiness, consumer goods, and real estate sectors. His experience focuses on aligning legal strategy with business objectives, thereby strengthening risk management, corporate governance, and executive decision-making within complex organisations.

He has held legal leadership roles at prestigious companies such as Alicorp, IASA, and, currently, Grupo Empresarial Lafuente, participating in organisational transformation, corporate growth, and the structuring of compliance models. In these environments, the legal function has evolved from a traditional advisory role into a strategic business partner, directly contributing to the companies’ sustainability and competitiveness.

He has led the development, implementation, and updating of corporate compliance frameworks, creating policies and controls regarding antitrust, insider information, supplier due diligence, conflicts of interest, and related-party transactions, all aligned with corporate governance and ethical management standards.

He has also served as an institutional representative on the boards of the National Chamber of Industries (CNI) and the La Paz Departmental Chamber of Industries (CADINPAZ), driving initiatives and advocating for the industrial sector’s interests in public-private forums.

In addition, he led the Sustainable Soy project in Bolivia on behalf of IASA, promoting an agenda focused on sustainability, compliance, and strategic engagement with national and international stakeholders.

His core strength lies in combining legal insight, business acumen, and executive leadership to transform the legal function into a driver of strategic value, facilitating sustainable growth, risk mitigation, and the creation of competitive advantages for the organisation.
