In the company we are in the process of extending the useful life of the mine, which is why we have been managing everything necessary so that the permits are obtained as soon as possible. The investment that the company is making will not only benefit it but also our beloved Peru since it will obtain more income from taxes.

Are there any particular challenges for which in-house counsel should be preparing in 2026?

Of course, without a doubt, artificial intelligence applied in the legal field. This is new for all lawyers and is a joint challenge for it to be applied correctly and ethically.

What do you think are the most important attributes for a modern in-house counsel to possess?

Without a doubt, professional ethics, since as in-house lawyers we have the obligation to advise ethically so that the relevant managements decide what is most convenient, bearing in mind an accurate and ethical legal report.
