How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

During particular conjunctural situations, issues are complex and cannot be solved by one area alone. What makes the difference is the ability to work as a team, with a cross-functional approach having in mind the business strategy and long term impact. Team work is successful when it is based on empathy, openness and trust among its members.

What are the major cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?

Corporate restructuring of the companies of the Group aimed to strengthen business growth and geographical diversification in 5 jurisdictions. Definition of corporate governance structure for the Holding and its affiliates and subsidiaries. Preparation of cash-out operations in companies where there are other shareholders. Aligned with the strategy, the sale of minimal participation in third party companies

How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?

My approach to diversity and inclusion is by acknowledging, giving value and assuming the different perspectives based on gender, backgrounds, cultural and political perspectives, in order not only to build genuine bonds between the members, but also to provide holistic solutions to the business. I take as a priority to listen and understand everybody else´s perspectives. I endeavor to have teams made up of individuals that are outstanding based on merits, capabilities and expertise but, most important, on leadership skills, eagerness to learn, disposition to ask for help when needed and humbleness.
