The legal team at Vitol – the international energy company – continues to show its excellence through a series of key transactions. The team has worked on the acquisition by Vitol and its partner IFM Investors of VTTI, a leading global independent provider of energy storage. The team also worked on the further acquisition of Sargeant Marine, from which it already possessed a 50% stake since 2016. This deal takes Vitol further into the global asphalt storage and shipping industry. The team also supported the negotiation of the memorandum of understanding signed by Vitol and Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO) on cooperation in the exploration of upstream, mid and downstream liquefied natural gas continuing the relationship started with a supply and purchase agreement signed in 2015.
