The in-house legal team at SGS continues to impress through its high volume of important international M&A activity as well as general legal and commercial acumen. For example the team has worked on the sale of its subsidiary Petroleum Service Corporation (PSC), to Aurora Capital Partners for US$335m in June 2019. SGS’s in-house team has also consulted on the acquisition of i2i, a leading provider of electronic certificates of origin (eCO) in the UK. Additionally it worked on the purchase of CSL, a major US laboratory specialising in elemental and heavy metal testing for food, nutraceuticals, pharma and cosmetic products.
