Career biography

For over two decades I have developed my career as an in-house legal executive at FCC. My specialisation spans capital markets, corporate law, and corporate governance, with a constant focus on value creation and the robustness of the control framework.

I am currently Head of the Coordination and Control Area within FCC’s Corporate Legal Department. From this position, I contribute to the standardization of processes, the strengthening of legal risk control, and the improvement of governance over the corporate powers of the attorney system. I provide close support to the General Secretariat and to the General Management of Legal Services in coordinating the work of the Legal Department, defining priorities, and overseeing regulatory and corporate compliance.

I am responsible for the preparation and execution of FCC’s General Shareholders’ Meetings. I provide ongoing support to the Board of Directors and its committees, anticipating needs, ensuring the quality and timeliness of information, and guaranteeing traceability and follow-up of resolutions. I also serve as secretary to the board of directors of various subsidiaries, consolidating corporate discipline and a culture of good governance across the Group’s perimeter.

In capital markets, I have participated in significant transactions for the company, including FCC’s takeover bid for its own shares in 2023, the takeover bid for Metrovacesa in 2022, and the IPO of Inmocemento in the context of a spin-off. On the corporate front, I have been involved in business spin-offs, significant acquisitions and disposals, and general meetings of legal significance.

Previously, I was Head of the Commercial Law Department within FCC’s Legal Department, with responsibilities in structural modifications, corporate governance, and coordination of industrial and intellectual property.

My value proposition as General Counsel is oriented towards anticipating risks, facilitating the execution of corporate strategy and reinforcing governance standards, integrating legal judgement, a cross-functional business perspective and change management.
