Career Biography

Antonio Garcia has developed his career in the telecommunications sector. He currently serves as Chief Legal and Assurance Director at MASORANGE. In this position, he leads the Legal function, the Security Department, and the company’s second and third lines of defence, including Internal Control, Risk & Compliance and Internal Audit.

He began his career at a leading telecommunications boutique law firm, where he worked on regulatory and commercial matters arising from the opening of the Spanish telecommunications market. During that period, he was involved in obtaining one of the first licences granted in Spain after the liberalisation of the sector and in negotiating some of the first interconnection agreements that enabled multiple operators to enter and operate in the Spanish market.

He later joined COLT as Legal & Regulatory Director in Spain and became a member of the senior management team. In that role, he advised on legal and regulatory matters in a changing regulatory environment and worked on regulatory compliance and relations with the authorities.

In 2008, he joined Jazztel as Legal & Regulatory Director, with responsibility for corporate, legal, institutional relations and regulatory matters. Jazztel was at that time part of the IBEX 35. His role covered a broad range of legal and governance matters during an important period in the company’s development.

In 2015, following the acquisition of Jazztel by Orange Spain, he was appointed Legal Commercial General Counsel. In 2017, he became Secretary of the Board and General Counsel of Orange Spain. In 2021, he joined the Orange Spain senior management team as General Secretary and Secretary of the Board of Directors.

In 2024, following the creation of MASORANGE, he took on his current role as Chief Legal and Assurance Director.
