With a truly international practice and a specific focus on Africa, Sarah Shaw has gained a tremendous amount of experience in advising clients on matters spanning private acquisitions and disposals, public takeovers, equity capital markets and joint venture transactions. Particularly focusing energy and infrastructure sectors, Shaw can point to a number of experiences advising important players within the African market. She advised the Africa Finance Corporation and Harith General Partners on the formation of a $3.3bn African energy joint venture across 10 countries in sub-Saharan Africa, as well as CDC on the acquisition of the Globeleq power asset portfolio across sub-Saharan Africa from Actis. She is a consistent contributor to Africa related events, having spoken on and published insights into legal affairs surrounding Africa as well as energy matters on the continent.
