An expert in private funds and investment management, Gerard Saviola has advised a number of different fund sponsors in a range of different emerging markets including Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. In a specifically African context, he has most notably advised African Capital Alliance in connection with the formation of two funds; one being “Capital Alliance Private Equity IV”, a US$570m private equity fund focused on investments in Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as “Capital Alliance Real Estate II”, a real estate investment fund targeting US$200m in commitments. Recognised for his superb negotiation skills and insight, Saviola has contributed to the body of industry knowledge having worked on a number of publications surrounding private funds and other financial legal topics.
