Career Biography

I am Legal and Compliance Manager at Compartamos Banco. I have more than 25 years of professional experience in the financial sector and have been part of the in-house legal teams at Interbank and Banco Ripley. I am specialised in Civil Law and, at Compartamos Banco, I lead the teams in charge of regulatory matters such as Market Conduct and Regulatory Compliance, as well as Corporate Legal Advice, Labor Relations and Corporate Governance.

I joined Compartamos Banco in 2024, when it was still a financial institution, which allowed me to join an organisation with a genuine purpose: to improve the lives of Peruvians traditionally underserved by the financial system. It is an institution focused on people and their real needs, with special emphasis on Peruvian women entrepreneurs.

The year 2025 was particularly challenging due to the process of transformation into a bank, which implied important changes both at the regulatory and technological levels. This context required us, as a legal team, to adapt and respond to new needs, especially in the legal support to the business and operations areas. To this end, we adopted an innovative perspective, aimed at providing advice aligned with the bank’s technological advances, all under a vision of servant leadership, in which the person is genuinely put at the center.

These achievements have been made possible by the strong team of leaders and specialists who accompany me, who, with ethics and professionalism, have effectively managed the legal risks inherent in our financial activities. Currently, the team is made up of 21 professionals, of which 70% are women.
