Career biography

Roberta Raimondi is a General Counsel recognised for building forward-looking legal functions inside fast-scaling, private equity-backed technology businesses. As Head of Legal and Compliance at RGI Group — a leading provider of core software systems for the European insurance market, backed by CVC Capital Partners — she sits on the executive leadership team as a trusted adviser to the CEO, the Board and private equity shareholders on strategic, legal and governance matters.

Since joining RGI in 2020, Roberta has built and led the Group’s Legal & Compliance function from the ground up, supporting operations across six EMEA jurisdictions. She has played a central role in major corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures and due diligence, and has led the negotiation of complex, high-value technology agreements — spanning SaaS, cloud and AI-related contracts — with international clients and partners.

A distinguishing feature of her leadership has been her proactive approach to emerging regulation: she has designed and implemented Group-wide compliance frameworks addressing GDPR, the AI Act, DORA and NIS2 well ahead of market norms, positioning RGI’s legal function as a strategic enabler of digital transformation rather than a gatekeeper. She has also strengthened legal risk management across technology-driven projects, overseen corporate governance and company secretariat matters, and served as the primary interface with private equity investors on governance and reporting.

Roberta is a qualified Italian lawyer with over ten years of experience spanning private practice and in-house roles, including prior positions at Rentokil Initial Italia (as Legal Counsel and member of the Supervisory Body under Legislative Decree 231/2001) and international law firms advising multinational clients across ICT, automotive, energy and healthcare sectors. She holds a Master’s Degree in Law (110/110 cum laude) from the University of Salerno, an Advanced Master in Corporate Law from Bocconi University, and completed the INSEAD Aspiring Directors Program in 2025, reflecting her commitment to board-level governance excellence.
