Career biography

I’m Najah Zeilah, and I am an Italian lawyer specialising in corporate and commercial law, corporate governance, compliance, anti-corruption matters, and public transport regulation. I graduated in Law from the University of Bologna and was admitted to the Italian Bar after passing the State Examination before the Bologna Court of Appeal.

Since 2018, I have been working in the Legal Affairs and Corporate Governance Department of TPER S.p.A., one of Italy’s leading public transport operators. I serve as Secretary to the Board of Directors of TPER and its group companies, providing legal advice on corporate and commercial matters, corporate governance, public-sector companies, compliance, and transport legislation. I am also responsible for contractual matters and support the governance processes of the company and its subsidiaries.

I currently serve as a member of the Supervisory Bodies established under Legislative Decree 231/2001 for TPER S.p.A., SST S.r.l., and MAFER S.r.l., contributing to the oversight of compliance systems, risk management, and corporate ethics.

Prior to joining TPER’s Legal Department, I completed my legal traineeship both within TPER and at the law firm LS Lexjus Sinacta, where I focused on transport law, administrative law, public procurement, and competition law. I also gained international legal experience through an internship in Beirut, Lebanon, working on matters related to international, commercial, administrative, and transport law.

Alongside my professional activities, I have contributed to publications in international transport law journals and regularly participate in specialised seminars and working groups on public governance, compliance, and public-sector legislation. I am fluent in Italian and English and have a working knowledge of Arabic.
