Career Biography

Fabrizio Caretta is a qualified Italian lawyer and Chief Legal, Corporate & Compliance Officer at Dolce & Gabbana Group, where he oversees all legal, corporate governance and compliance matters at a global level. He brings over two decades of experience as an in-house counsel in the fashion and luxury industries, having previously held senior legal leadership roles at Prada Group (as Group Legal Department Director) and Fila.

Fabrizio currently holds the position of Director of Dolce & Gabbana Trademarks s.r.l. and of several commercial subsidiaries within the Dolce & Gabbana Group.

Throughout his career, Fabrizio has developed deep expertise in corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, compliance and governance, supporting complex international operations and high-value strategic projects. He is particularly focused on the legal implications of innovation, including new business models, digital transformation and emerging technologies impacting the fashion and luxury sectors.

In addition to his executive role, Fabrizio is a frequent speaker at international conferences and a lecturer in fashion law and legal management programs (Luiss Business School), contributing to the broader dialogue on the evolving role of legal functions within global companies.

Fabrizio is a member of the Scientific Committee of RCS Academy Business School.

He has received numerous awards for his work, most recently the In-House Counsel of the Year award in 2023 for the categories Fashion, Design & Luxury and is ranked in the Chambers and Partners legal guide among the global leading in-house lawyers.
