Career biography

Carlotta Curioni is the Head of Legal department in BayWa r.e. Italia, local branch of the BayWa r.e. Group, with headquarters in Munich, Germany. After starting her career working in international law firms in the litigation field, she joined BayWa r.e. in 2017, with the specific task to create from scratch a legal team in this country. In the past few years, she has built up a team of six experts, that provides assistance in corporate, regulatory and compliance topics for all the Italian BayWa r.e. group. Carlotta is the first go-to person for the Italian management for all legal aspects and a key role in highly complex transactions. Proximity to the business is crucial for her role and one of her main targets is to ensure that legal solutions are always commercially pragmatic. Strictly involved and actively cooperating with the central legal department, supported by her team, Carlotta is in charge of all the legal-related matters in the renewable energy business of BayWa r.e., from the development and financing of both wind and solar projects, to their construction and operation and M&A transactions for the sale on the market.
