Miguel Videira Pimentão began his legal career as an associate attorney at magic circle law firm Clifford Chance. Based in their Paris office with a working knowledge of five languages, Miguel Videira Pimentão handled contractual work and advised companies on diverse commercial and economic issues, in addition to leading corporate projects and coordinating internal teams for the firm during this period. His term included a six-month secondment at Pfizer animal health.

After spending two years at Colt Technology Services as legal advisor for France, Switzerland and Portugal, based in Paris, he joined global animal health company Zoetis as senior legal manager (France, Italy, Spain and Portugal) in February 2013. The company became a stand-alone company as a result of a successful initial public offering (IPO) of Pfizer’s animal health activities. With the wealth of knowledge he amassed in previous roles, Miguel Videira Pimentão was then promoted to the role of legal director and corporate counsel (France and Southern Europe). As he joined Zeotis at its conception, Miguel Videira Pimentão had to build the company’s legal function from scratch. In doing so, he created templates, procedures, policies, databases, a law firm network and training programs while coping with the day-to-day work and building-up trust with the business at the same time.

In October 2016, Miguel Videira Pimentão joined Colgate-Palmolive in his current role as legal director for the Western Europe Hub, managing a team of three. He is an active member of the senior leadership team, which includes the heads of each function (HR, finance, customer development, marketing and more), the Benelux general manager and the Western Europe Hub general manager. Miguel Videira Pimentão plays an important role in the strategic decisions of the company.
