Career Biography

Nicole Alcántara Báez is Legal Counsel and Compliance Manager at VV Autos, operating under the MOVITI brand and forming part of Grupo MARTÍ’s automotive business, where she oversees the company’s legal affairs and leads the Compliance Unit alongside her team. With more than ten years of experience, she has built a multidisciplinary practice spanning regulatory compliance, corporate law, strategic transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. Under her leadership, the Compliance Unit has developed a comprehensive 360-degree AML/CFT compliance framework encompassing governance, risk management, due diligence, regulatory reporting, internal controls, training, and continuous regulatory oversight, reinforcing compliance as a strategic business function.

Throughout her career, Nicole has worked alongside Grupo MARTÍ’s Legal and Corporate Vice President on some of the Group’s most significant strategic initiatives and transactions within its mobility business. Her experience spans transactions involving globally recognised automotive manufacturers and brands, distribution and importation frameworks, commercial agreements, and cross-border operations across the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Panama. Recognized for combining legal expertise with a strategic compliance perspective, Nicole is committed to positioning legal and compliance as key drivers of innovation, responsible growth, and long-term business success.
