What are the most significant cases, projects and/or transactions that you and/or your legal team have recently been involved in?

Have you had any experiences during your career as a lawyer that stand out as particularly unique or interesting? Across my career, the experiences that stand out most have been those where technical legal analysis needed to be paired with practical execution across multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions. I have worked on cross-border matters involving overlapping legal and regulatory regimes, and progress depends on coordinating matters across time zones, aligning different risk perspectives, and translating complex requirements into clear, workable decision points.

I have also found pro bono work to be uniquely meaningful, especially where it focuses on education and capacity-building. For example, together with colleagues I have helped train students across Chile on a range of civic education topics, translating legal and institutional concepts into accessible, practical sessions and adapting the approach for different audiences and regions. That experience has been distinctive because it combines legal expertise with public-facing communication, and it has strengthened my ability to explain complex issues clearly, collaborate effectively, and deliver impact beyond a single matter.

AI has been taken seriously as a potentially revolutionary technological change in the legal world for a number of years now. Has it had a meaningful impact in how your legal team works in this time?

What is a cause, business or otherwise, that you are passionate about? Why is this? The cause I am deeply passionate about is legal education and civic capacity-building in Latin America. This comes directly from my more than 15 years of teaching experience in Chile and Central America. I have seen how access to rigorous, practical legal training can expand opportunities, strengthen institutions, and improve the quality of public and private decision-making. Additionally, the level of knowledge you gain and learn from each student is very valuable.

Teaching allows me to translate complex legal principles into tools that students can use—whether they are building foundational knowledge as undergraduates or refining their professional judgment at postgraduate level. Over time, that work has reinforced for me that education is one of the most durable ways to create impact: it develops critical thinking, supports a culture of legality, and equips future lawyers and leaders to navigate change responsibly and effectively.
