Ukraine-based Metinvest is an internationally vertically integrated mining and metallurgical group of companies that manages every stage in the production chain of value creation, from the extraction of iron ore raw materials and coal to the production of semi-finished products and finished metal products. The legal department is led by chief legal officer, general counsel Svitlana Romanova who has advanced knowledge of the oil and gas sector in the Central European region. The team is involved on a number of company activities concerning a range of international and domestic investments and matters. Most recently, Metinvest has announced that the company is going to increase salaries for skilled repairmen and technologists by 15%, for the production workers and foremen by 10% and for administrative staff by 7%. The legal department have facilitated the regulatory side to this initiative, allowing the company to sustain competitiveness in the labour market, and boost its productive capacity.
