Lucía Martin Méndez is the Senior Legal and Contracts Manager for the MROH Group, which owns well-known companies in the aerospace sector such as Aeroman and TechOps MX, leaders in providing world-class maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for aircraft at all their facilities to major commercial airlines in the United States. Lucía has over 11 years of experience, specialising in corporate law, contract drafting and negotiation, M&A transactions, real estate, and the aviation industry. She is authorised to practise law in both Spain and El Salvador and is also authorised to act as a public notary in El Salvador.

In her current role at MRO Holdings, Lucía has been involved in the group’s large M&A transactions, corporate restructuring and redomiciliation processes, as well as major transnational refinancing operations. Under the leadership of the group’s Legal Vice President, she played a key role in establishing and growing the legal department of MRO Holdings and now leads a team of several lawyers. She is responsible for managing the operational aspects of the legal team and addressing all legal matters for the group, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing advice on contractual and corporate issues. She has participated in the implementation of IntelAgree, a contract lifecycle management software that uses artificial intelligence to track and recognise clauses within agreements, maintain a centralised clause library, perform searches, store contract templates, and send reminders for renewals and expirations. This system has allowed the team to manage contracts more efficiently. The team has been nominated three times for Best Corporate Department by the Salvadoran law and business magazine, Derecho y Negocios.

Lucía began her academic career by studying law at the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain, with minors in International Business Law and International Law Studies. She then moved to Madrid, Spain, where she obtained a dual postgraduate degree from the Instituto de Empresa, specialising in corporate and business law.

After completing her studies, Lucía began her professional career at the Madrid office of the renowned English law firm Clifford Chance, working for three years in the corporate and real estate departments. During her time there, she was involved in significant national and international transactions related to mergers and acquisitions and loan portfolios. After her experience in Spain, she returned to El Salvador and joined the corporate law department of Consortium Legal. Over three years at this firm, prior to joining the MROH Group, she gained in-depth knowledge of Salvadoran corporate and business law and developed expertise in contract negotiation and M&A transactions.

In 2023, Lucía was recognised by Derecho y Negocios as one of 45 female lawyers under 45 in El Salvador who have positively impacted the legal sector through their professional achievements. In 2024, she was included in the Central American GC Powerlist.
