What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

In Q4/2024 the legal team provided support to two M&A transactions in Latin America, the first being the largest transaction of the year for Brenntag globally which was the acquisition of QUIMICA DELTA in Mexico. This transaction made BRENNTAG to position itself as the leader in chemical distribution in the Mexican market. The second transaction occurred in Brazil, which was the acquisition of PIC QUIMICA group (comprised by three legal entities in the pharma sector). In addition, the legal team has worked during the course of 2025 to integrate the NEWCOs into BRENNTAG universe.

What new pressures are you facing from the business as expectations for legal to act as a strategic partner continue to grow?

In this scenario of high macroeconomic and geopolitical volatility, the legal department has the important mission of remaining close to the business and adopt a pragmatic view in respect to the risks the company currently faces, and the potential ones derived from the possible changes in the global landscape, balancing risks and opportunities for the decision-making executives to properly navigate these challenges. With that in mind, the legal department plays an important role in the creation of standardized processes to gain efficiency and reduce costs.

How have economic fluctuations, exchange‑rate volatility or supply‑chain pressures in 2026 influenced your legal priorities?

It has influenced significantly but Brenntag navigates very well in volatility. Despite the need to have strict controls over expenses and, to the extent possible, take actions to mitigate risks associated to such fluctuations the legal team remain focused in deliver high quality services for our business colleagues, meaning giving all legal support to enable business continuity and growth, always in a sustainable manner and in line with Brenntag´s principles.
