What are the most significant cases, projects and/or transactions that you and/or your legal team have recently been involved in?

Over the past year, my team and I have been deeply involved in strategic regulatory and business transformation projects across the Mexico+ Cluster including, the Caribbean and other overseas markets operating in highly regulated environments. One of the most significant initiatives was supporting the implementation of a major business model transformation in Bolivia. This required a comprehensive legal, compliance, and governance assessment covering corporate, regulatory, contractual, labour and operational risks. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, we helped ensure the transition was legally sound, commercially sustainable and aligned with global governance standards.

At a regional level, I also led complex negotiations and restructuring initiatives involving distribution frameworks across several markets. A recent example was the negotiation and implementation of distribution agreements in Martinique, Guadeloupe and Aruba, balancing commercial objectives with evolving regulatory requirements while protecting the company’s interests and ensuring long-term business sustainability. These projects required navigating different legal systems, regulatory environments and stakeholder expectations, and reinforcing the importance of combining legal expertise with commercial awareness. What I value most about these experiences is that they demonstrate how modern legal teams can create value beyond risk mitigation. By partnering closely with the business, legal functions can enable growth, strengthen governance and support strategic decision-making in increasingly complex environments.

What is a cause, business or otherwise, that you are passionate about? Why is this?

What I am most passionate about is ethical leadership and the power leaders have to shape cultures where people can thrive while doing the right thing. Throughout more than two decades of my career, I have worked across industries, countries, and regulatory environments. One lesson has remained constant: sustainable success is built on trust. Trust between companies and regulators, between leaders and their teams, and between organisations and the communities they serve. I have seen firsthand how strong governance, integrity, and ethical decision-making can transform organisations. When people trust their leaders, they are more willing to speak up, challenge assumptions, innovate, and contribute their best work. Conversely, when ethics are treated as a compliance exercise rather than a leadership responsibility, organisations become vulnerable, not only legally, but culturally.

I am also deeply passionate about advancing female leadership. Throughout my career, I have often been one of the few women at the decision-making table. Supporting women in leadership is not only about representation; it is about creating stronger organisations. Diverse leadership teams bring broader perspectives, better decision-making, and greater resilience. Ultimately, leadership is not measured by titles or authority. It is measured by the impact we have on people, the culture we help create, and the trust we leave behind. That is the cause I care about most, because it extends far beyond business; it shapes organisations, careers and lives.
