Esteban Mazzucco’s career trajectory with Syngenta started in September 2011, when he joined in the capacity of lead counsel for the Latin American South region, providing advice on organisational strategy and legal matters. In September 2016 he acquired additional responsibility by being promoted to regional counsel Latin America and Latin America South where he serves as the head of the legal department for Latin American business and is a core member of the Syngenta regional leadership team. He is recognised for providing long-term business planning, legal advice, risk management, compliance and regional M&A advice. Mazzucco’s competence, skillset and personal traits have been praised by nominators: ‘Mazzucco has great ability to respond under pressure and great capacity to solve complex issues’. Prior to joining Syngenta, Mazzucco served as international senior corporate counsel for The Clorox Company, an American global manufacturer and marketer of consumer and professional products. In this role he was the head of the company’s international legal department in Buenos Aires, serving as regional counsel for the Latin American and European regions.
