As a senior legal leader with extensive business orientation, Pierre-Etienne Boin prides himself for his international agricultural-biotechnology experience with leading Swiss life sciences company, Syngenta. Boin started his career with Syngenta in 2001 as senior legal counsel, and over the years has displayed a comprehensive track record in all aspects of commercial and corporate law. He has moved up the ranks to assume the position of general counsel seeds and biotech in 2002, general counsel agribusiness in 2009, and eventually in 2017 the role of head of legal seeds and biotechnology, deputy group general counsel. Boin is an in-house lawyer with demonstrated skills in leading a worldwide team of legal and IP professionals in a global market environment, within regulated industries and challenging emerging markets. He has gained this all-rounded global experience from his previous roles at Novartis in the capacity of head of legal and human resources, and market operations for Asia-Pacific, and prior to this as head of legal and market operation field crops in Europe for Novartis, based in France.
