Currently made up of 90 employees, the regional legal team of BAC Credomatic is managed by legal director Daniel Pérez Umaña with the assistance of a highly qualified regional team and country-expert legal general counsel that manage each local sub-team. The team currently ensures full compliance with laws and regulations across 11 jurisdictions in Central America, Mexico, Florida and the Caribbean. Since joining his current employer in June 2011, Pérez has introduced integrated management of legal risks by means of establishing guidelines, processes and tools. The team has become a trusted part of the business, winning the confidence of the CEO and senior management and achieving regional integration of the legal team. Over the course of the years the team has grown to be recognised across Central America for their successful participation in various M&A processes and the successful launch of new products as well as the implementation of innovative structures for long-term funding.
