Career Biography

Chiara Iarussi is Head of Corporate and Special Contracts at Fincantieri, one of the world’s leading shipbuilding groups, where she leads the legal support for corporate affairs, strategic commercial transactions and complex international projects.

An Italian lawyer admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Court and the highest courts, Chiara has developed extensive expertise in corporate and commercial law, international contracting, and dispute resolution. Before joining Fincantieri, she practised for several years at leading international law firms, advising multinational clients on high-value litigation, international arbitration, and sophisticated cross-border transactions.

In her current role, she partners closely with senior management and business teams on strategically significant matters, supporting complex negotiations and the structuring of major commercial and corporate transactions. Her practice is distinguished by a pragmatic, business-focused approach to legal risk management and the ability to navigate the legal and commercial challenges of large-scale international projects.

Her professional interests include corporate governance, international commercial contracts, dispute resolution, legal innovation, and the legal implications of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and data protection.
