Career biography
Natalia Ramírez-Morún is a corporate lawyer with experience in regulatory compliance, legal risk management and strategic advisory, whose practice has developed at the intersection of corporate law and digital transformation within the financial sector.
She holds a law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and an MBA specialising in Corporate Law and Legal Compliance from Universidad Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid, Spain. She has complemented her academic training with studies in contract law, innovation, and anti-money laundering.
Natalia began her professional career at Sabbagh, D’Alessandro, Henríquez & Asociados, where she progressed from paralegal to corporate lawyer. During her time at the firm, she advised companies on corporate matters, corporate restructurings and succession proceedings for major corporate groups, as well as transactions in the real estate and tourism sectors. She also developed expertise in regulatory compliance and legal audits. In addition, she serves as a member of the legal team of one of the country’s leading healthcare centres, providing ongoing legal advice to its Board of Directors.
She currently serves as Legal Manager of Public Policy and Legal Lead for Digital Services at the Dominican Bankers Association (ABA). In this role, she leads the legal oversight of the institution’s digital services, including matters relating to digital signatures, regulatory compliance, technology contracts, audits, and legal risk management. She also provides strategic advice to multidisciplinary teams, helping to ensure that innovation and digital transformation initiatives are developed within a robust legal framework aligned with applicable regulatory requirements.
Her practice combines strong legal expertise with a strategic understanding of business and the regulatory environment, with a focus on positioning the legal function as an enabler of innovation and legal certainty.
