With a career spanning private practice, multinational corporate leadership, and strategic operational management, Veronica has built a distinguished professional trajectory defined by legal expertise, business acumen, and executive leadership.
Veronica began her legal career at leading law firms in Paraguay, where she developed a strong foundation in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law. During these formative years, she advised local and international clients on complex legal matters, including corporate structuring, compliance, negotiations, and cross-border transactions. Her work in private practice allowed her to gain extensive experience, navigating highly regulated industries and working in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
Following her successful tenure in private practice, Veronica transitioned to the corporate sector in 2019. Her move marked an important milestone in her professional development, as she shifted from external legal adviser to in-house strategic counsel within one of the world’s leading multinational companies. At BAT Paraguay, she played a key role in advising senior management on corporate governance, regulatory affairs, compliance, risk management, and commercial operations. Her ability to combine legal precision with business-oriented thinking enabled her to contribute meaningfully to the company’s strategic objectives and operational efficiency.
During her time at BAT, Veronica became recognised for her leadership capabilities, negotiation skills, and ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships in a highly regulated and competitive industry. She worked closely with multidisciplinary teams and regional leadership, supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening corporate integrity, operational resilience, sustainable growth, and compliance.
Building on her experience, Veronica later assumed the role of General Manager at Securiport in Paraguay. In the executive position, she oversees the company’s operations and strategic direction within the country, leading initiatives focused on security, technology, operational excellence, and institutional collaboration. Her role requires a combination of leadership, regulatory understanding, commercial vision, and the ability to manage relationships with both public and private sector stakeholders.
As General Manager, Veronica has been instrumental in strengthening operational standards, driving organisational growth, and supporting the implementation of innovative solutions in the security and transportation sectors. Her legal background, coupled with her corporate and managerial experience, has enabled her to approach leadership with a strong focus on governance, efficiency, and long-term value creation.
