Career Biography

I currently serve as Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Interbank, where I lead the bank’s legal advisory teams across all business lines, including Retail Banking, Channels, Payments, and Commercial Banking. I also act as Secretary to the Board of Directors.

I bring more than twenty years of professional experience to this role, with over fifteen years spent in financial services. Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of law, regulation, and business strategy, supporting organizations as they navigate complex regulatory environments while pursuing growth, innovation, and long term value creation. I believe legal teams are most effective when they move beyond a reactive advisory role and become trusted strategic partners to the business.

A key component of my professional development has been my international experience in lending and capital markets. I have worked at Citibank del Perú and with the Global Capital Markets team at Milbank LLP in New York, where I was exposed to highly sophisticated cross-border transactions governed under New York law. These experiences gave me a global perspective and a strong technical foundation that continues to inform my approach to complex financing structures, regulatory analysis, and engagement with international markets and players.

I was also part of the legal advisory team at Grupo Intercorp, where I focused on financing transactions to raise funding to the M&A strategic transactions. My work included advising on loans and debt issuances governed by New York law, as well as coordinating closely with international law firms, investment banks, and internal business teams. This stage of my career strengthened my ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives in fast paced, multidisciplinary environments.
