Career biography

Throughout my career, I have been involved in key projects such as the negotiation and implementation of distribution agreements with companies with global reach. These experiences have been complemented by my role in managing periods of instability and crisis, where a proactive approach grounded in regulatory compliance programmes has proven essential in reducing risks and mitigating the impact of external shocks.

I am a lawyer with 40 years of professional experience, during which I have also spent 25 years in management roles outside the legal function. This dual perspective has allowed me to develop a broader understanding of business operations and decision-making processes.

In my view, one of the most important qualities of an in-house lawyer is a deep understanding of the organisation and its operations, combined with active participation in the company’s strategic priorities and objectives. Legal professionals must be fully aligned with the business and contribute meaningfully to its direction.

At the same time, the adoption of technological tools is increasingly important. These tools should support both the internal legal team and the company’s operational areas, while preserving the human element and strategic judgement that remain essential to effective legal practice.

Diversity and inclusion are also central to our approach. We operate without limits or distinctions, and currently 75% of our team is female, reflecting a strong commitment to gender balance.

We also work closely with Public Affairs and Sustainability teams to promote and strengthen a corporate culture aligned with modern ESG principles, ensuring that our values are embedded across the organisation.

Looking ahead, it will be increasingly important to address business challenges in parallel with the country’s political and macroeconomic developments, as these external factors continue to have a direct impact on corporate decision-making.

Beyond my professional responsibilities, I have a strong personal interest in the political and economic development of the country, which further informs my perspective on business and legal strategy.
