Career Biography

Senior banking executive with over 25 years of experience in the financial sector, with increasing responsibilities during his career. Senior management positions for more than 15 years leading high potential teams that have achieved increasing results in revenues, profit, and business growth objectives in complex business, economic and regulatory environments. George led Banco Internacional in the issuance of the first private sector Blue Bond, destined to finance maritime and aquaculture activities.

Experienced in dealing with multi-country regulatory environment in Ecuador and Central America, Part of the regional team created to execute the acquisition of Banco Cuscatlan and Banco Uno by Citibank N.A. during that period, he was assigned as regional legal advisor to supervise the work of the legal departments of the acquired banks, supporting Latam Legal regional office.

George has a JD (doctor en Jurisprudencia) from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, an MBA from Universidad Carlos Tercero de Madrid, and has been part of management programs at Yale School of Management (Accelerated Management Program) and IESE Business School (Programa de Alta Dirección). George participates regularly as speaker in national and international Banking and Financial Law forums.
