Agnimitra Sinha is a seasoned legal leader with more than twenty-five years of international experience spanning FMCG, consumer goods, tobacco, food and beverages, and global digital commerce. He currently serves as the General Counsel and Head of Compliance for Pernod Ricard India, where he oversees all legal, regulatory, corporate governance, and compliance functions for one of the world’s leading premium spirits companies. In this role, he is responsible for safeguarding the organisation’s legal interests, shaping risk-balanced commercial strategies, and ensuring robust compliance across a highly regulated industry. He partners closely with business leadership on commercial growth, brand protection, ESG-linked compliance, complex regulatory engagement, and ethical business conduct across India.

Before joining Pernod Ricard, he held multiple high-impact leadership positions at Britannia Industries as Head Legal, Reckitt Benckiser as Legal Director – E-Commerce, Business Development and Digital for the Global Hygiene Business Unit, reporting to the SVP and General Counsel, Hygiene and Home. Earlier at Reckitt, he served as Regional Director, Law and Compliance, South Asia, where he led a team of commercial lawyers and compliance professionals. His mandate included legal strategy for supply chain, e-commerce, modern trade, IP protection, restructuring, risk management, sustainability, data protection, global program implementation, litigation strategy, investigations, anti-counterfeiting actions, and external counsel management.

Prior to Reckitt, he spent close to a decade at Philip Morris International, where he held two significant cross-border assignments. As Senior Counsel – Reduced Risk Products, based in Switzerland and Hong Kong, he contributed to the market expansion and commercialisation of IQOS and other reduced-risk products across Asia. He worked on market entry strategies, B2B commercial development, global market research governance, and development of global legal training frameworks. Earlier, as Senior Counsel for India, Bangladesh and Nepal, he served on the South Asia Management Team, advising on regulatory strategy, compliance, litigation, trade recovery, intellectual property, and government relations.

His earlier leadership roles include serving as Head of Legal at Marico Limited, General Manager–Legal at PepsiCo India. He began his career as a Litigator in New Delhi, representing major corporations before Trial Courts, various High Courts, and the Supreme Court of India.

He holds a degree in Law from the University of Delhi, a Bachelor’s degree from Banaras Hindu University and executive certifications from the London School of Economics, IIM Ahmedabad, and global PMI programs. A member of leading bar associations, he is fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, outdoor sports, and traveling.
