Astrid Bolea is Head of Legal (Senior Regulatory Legal Counsel) at Revolut Bank UAB
Romania Branch, coordinating the legal work related to Revolut banking expansion in
Romania. She is working together with the broader Revolut legal department in Lithuania
and the United Kingdom, and with the local Revolut Romania Branch team.

Her main fields of expertise are banking Law, European Law and consumer protection.
Before joining an in-house legal position at Revolut, Astrid began her legal career in central
banking. She has a PhD in Law at the West University of Timisoara – Faculty of Law, where
her research focused on consumer agreements from a law & economics perspective.

Astrid holds a degree in law at West University of Timisoara and a Master of Law (LLM) from
University of Cambridge.
