How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

Risk mindset and approach are crucial to address crises and periods of instability to give certainty to the business that even on that scenarios we can still operate and get a profit controlling any mayor consequences, backing the operations and getting people certainty to navigate through difficult times. Maintain global strategy but customise with legal expectations is needed, otherwise disparity can destroy teamwork.

What are the major cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?

Regional alignment on major digital initiatives (commercial transactions, terms of operation, IA, etc.) trough diverse regulations, to minimise possible competition consequences jointly with an increasing privacy regulation environment.

How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?

By guaranteed gender equality on the department, we ensure to have all the proper visions and principles protection on the department, furthermore, the most important topics are addressed by the most adequate profile. Among the region, we motivate our local teams to recruit all kind of professional profiles without taking in consideration their personal attributes.

Which legal tech organisations or products are helping you in your role?

We motivate the legal department to use our internal L’OréalGPT to minimise simple tasks on their daily basis. Additionally, we are enhancing contract analysis tools, IA analysis for regulation adaptation to our operations and of course using Teams and Copilot to facilitate office work.
