Career Biography
Corporate lawyer with more than eighteen years of experience in the mining and energy industries, specialising in strategic legal management, negotiation, and conflict resolution in highly complex environments. Throughout my career, I have held key roles in legal advisory, regulatory compliance, labour relations, and corporate affairs, always guided by ethical leadership and a strong focus on sustainability.
I currently serve as Legal Manager at Pan American Silver, one of the most relevant international mining companies. In this role, I develop corporate legal strategies and lead teams focused on ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening institutional relations, and promoting the responsible management of resources. My main responsibilities include land negotiations and acquisitions, due diligence processes, legal risk management, overseeing compliance procedures, and the coordination of labor, corporate, and regulatory matters in the energy sector. I also design litigation strategies and ensure alignment with international human rights and corporate social responsibility standards. I am deeply committed to fostering an organisational culture based on ethics, transparency, and respect for communities, helping to consolidate the company’s reputation as a leader in sustainability and social commitment within the mining sector.
I am also a founding partner of Sahb Legal Services, a law firm that provides specialised legal advice across various areas of law.
One of the cornerstones of my professional life is my commitment to gender equity and the inclusion of women in mining. I currently serve as President of Women in Mining (WIM) Mexico, Durango District, where I promote programs focused on professional development, leadership, and awareness, aimed at strengthening women’s participation at all levels of the industry. I have successfully opened spaces for dialogue, advocated for equal employment policies, and built support networks that foster cultural transformation within the sector.
Throughout my career, I have learned that law is not only a legal tool but also a means to generate human and social impact. My knowledge of human rights has allowed me to integrate the principles of respect, justice, and dignity into every project I lead, ensuring that legal decisions contribute to collective well-being and sustainable development. I firmly believe that true legal leadership lies in balancing corporate interests with respect for people and the environment, driving a mining industry that is fairer, more inclusive, and socially responsible.
