How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

In periods of instability or crisis, I approach legal management through anticipation, prioritisation, and alignment. I begin identifying the most critical risks and allocating resources to the issues that directly affect the organization’s continuity and reputation. By prioritizing high-impact matters, I ensure that the legal team’s efforts are focused where they ad the greatest value, while secondary tasks are managed without distracting from urgent priorities.

Clear and timely communication is equally essential. I engage with my leaders and internal clients to provide practical legal guidance that is not only risk-aware but also business-oriented. This ensures that decisions are taken quickly and with a full understanding of their implications, reducing uncertainty and enabling coordinated action.

At a strategic level, I do not view legal as a reactive function but as a business parent. My legal strategy is designed to integrate seamlessly with the broader business strategy, protecting core assets while enabling operational flexibility. In times of disruption, this integration helps transform challenges into opportunities, positioning the organization to emerge stronger.

Ultimately, my role is to create resilience by balancing two imperatives: safeguarding the company from legal exposure, and keeping it agile enough to innovate and grow even in turbulent environments. By anticipating risks, prioritizing what truly matters, and aligning with business goals, I help the organization remain both protected and adaptable.

What are the major cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?
