What projects are you most proud to have worked on over the past 12 months?

From a corporate growth perspective, as General Counsel, I lead Pan American Silver’s $3.1bn acquisition and integration of Yamana Gold in March 2023. We then announced the $2.1bn acquisition of MAG Silver in May 2025. At the same time, my responsibilities for leading the human resources function for approximately 20,000 employees and contractors as Chief Human Resources Officer has helped accommodate this rapid growth while creating a motivated, inclusive and ethical workforce.

Have you had any experiences during your career as a lawyer that stand out as particularly unique or interesting?

Being a member of executive teams for 18 years focused on significantly growing two major public companies, First Quantum Minerals and Pan American Silver, has been immensely challenging and rewarding. Taking on responsibility for the human resources function, as well as human rights and compliance, has added additional interest and motivation. Being in the mining industry has provided me with so many unique and interesting experiences as General Counsel, including the opportunity to travel to many places across Africa, North and South America, Asia and Europe. Mining is an essential part of the solution to address climate change and creating a green economy. I am incredibly proud to have a small part in this.

How does your team contribute to the overall business strategy of the company?

The Pan American legal team is responsible for all legal functions for the Company. We have a corporate team of seven lawyers with an additional approx. 28 lawyers supporting our operations. We aim to provide most services in-house in a cost-effective way and only rely on the expertise of outside counsel for targeted projects, such as M&A and litigation. As a team we contribute significantly to the overall strategic direction of the Company through my direct role on the Executive Team as well as through our SVP Assistant General Counsel, Delaney Fisher, working closely with our finance, accounting and tax teams, and our respective responsibilities to the Board of Directors.
