What are the major cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?

Handling all cases related to defaulting corporate clients and managing major recoveries that had an impact on the bank financials for the years 2024. I have restructured the legal division to achieve maximum utilisation of skills and ensure meeting management and BOD directions.

Also, I have successfully led initiatives that enabled the bank to recover approximately KWD 100m. of outstanding non-performing loans, significantly reducing credit losses. I have spearheaded the restructuring of the division’s workflow, streamlining processes and improving operational efficiency, resulting in faster turnaround times, enhanced risk control, and measurable improvement in overall financial performance, while effectively managing external factors impacting debt recovery, including negotiations with external stakeholders, collaboration with legal advisors, and coordination with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with banking standards. All while adapting strategies to the changing economic and legal conditions, mitigating potential risks to maintain consistent performance despite external pressures, to ultimately reduce credit exposure and safeguard the bank’s portfolio, and aligning the legal work with organisational goals.

Ensuring looking into the big picture, understanding the worst-case scenarios that could occur and work around it in the best way possible, while ensuring protection of the bank’s rights to align with the organisation goals and strategies.
