What are the most significant cases, projects or transactions that you and your legal team have recently been involved in?

I have been involved in a variety of transactional work in the last 2 years. From M&A to Financing opportunities. In addition, advising the business on new regulations, and working on a collaboratively environment with different stakeholders and corporate functions.

How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis to ensure the organisation’s resilience?  

Managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis is crucial to ensuring an organisation’s resilience. My approach begins with identifying and prioritising potential legal vulnerabilities, allowing us to focus resources on the most critical areas. This proactive assessment helps in mitigating risks and preparing for unforeseen challenges.

Effective communication is paramount. Maintaining clear and transparent communication with stakeholders, providing timely updates on legal matters. This ensures that everyone is informed and aligned, fostering trust and collaboration during uncertain times.

Have you had any experiences during your career as a lawyer that stand out as particularly unique or interesting?

 I participated in an internal program – Detroit Service Corps. Being part of a group that spend almost a month in Detroit working on development-boosting efforts in Detroit. Providing financial expertise and other resources, in addition to having worked with very talented employees was a unique opportunity, in addition to giving back. I would also highlight our Pro Bono work, where together with Fundación Pro Bono, we have been part of the Civic Education Program, helping educate students across Chile, on constitutional and labour law matters.   

What is a cause, business or otherwise, that you are passionate about? Why is this?

I am passionate about teaching and interacting with students because it offers a unique opportunity to shape minds and inspire future generations. This passion is deeply rooted in my upbringing, as both of my parents are teachers. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand their dedication to education and the profound impact they had on their students. Their commitment to nurturing young minds instilled in me the values of knowledge-sharing and lifelong learning.

Engaging with students allows me to share knowledge and experiences, fostering an environment of learning and growth. The dynamic exchange of ideas and perspectives not only enriches the educational experience but also broadens my own understanding of the world. Teaching is a two-way street; while imparting knowledge, I also learn from the diverse viewpoints and insights that students bring to the table. This interaction encourages critical thinking and creativity, helping students develop the skills they need to navigate complex challenges.

Witnessing their progress and achievements is incredibly rewarding and reinforces my commitment to education. Moreover, teaching provides a platform to advocate for important values such as inclusivity, empathy, and collaboration.
