Career biography
Maria José Gnecco Palacio is currently the head of Legal for J.P.Morgan in Colombia and Peru. In this position is responsible for all the firm’s legal matters in these countries. She joined on October 1, 2006, as the Head of Legal and Compliance for Colombia when J.P.Morgan incorporated the bank in Colombia.
Prior to joining J.P.Morgan she worked in the legal department of Citibank Colombia and Banco Sudameris Colombia.
Maria José is a Colombian lawyer, specialized in corporations’ laws with more than 20 years of experience in the Colombian financial sector.
