Career Biography

Julián Graciano serves as Vice President Legal at Yellowstone Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm with approximately US$1.5bn in assets under management. The firm invests in sustainable residential and income-generating assets through equity and private credit strategies. Julián leads the legal team and advises on fund formation, transaction structuring, compliance, and execution across the platform.

He began his career at Dentons Cardenas & Cardenas, advising on mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. That experience laid the foundation for his current work in private equity, where he supports the structuring and execution of complex investments.

At Yellowstone, he leads the legal team and works closely with investment and development professionals to advance key initiatives. In July 2024, the firm closed the Yellowstone Flagship Opportunity Fund IV, raising US$500m in capital commitments—the largest Colombia-focused real estate fund of its kind and the second-largest vehicle of its vintage in Latin America. Within its first year, the fund committed approximately US$250m across transactions with sector-leading strategic partners, including a joint venture with Visum Capital to develop logistics infrastructure, a series of investments in residential housing projects, and Quora, a landmark urban renewal project in Bogotá.

Quora involves the transformation of five hectares in Bogotá’s El Virrey area into a comprehensive mixed-use development. With projected total investment exceeding US$500m, including both equity and debt, the project combines housing, offices, retail, public space, and cultural infrastructure in one of the city’s most strategic locations. It has become a reference point for how private capital can contribute to urban transformation through better land use and improved access to services.

The legal team under his leadership supports the full lifecycle of these investments, ensuring that frameworks are in place to support execution across multiple stakeholders while preserving institutional discipline. This work is grounded in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and alignment with investment objectives.

Julian holds a law degree from Universidad del Rosario, a postgraduate degree in tax law from Universidad de los Andes, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University (NYU).
