What are the key projects you have been involved in over the past twelve months?

Over the last twelve months, I have led the legal, governance and company secretariat function through one of the most significant milestones in UK infrastructure delivery: achieving Financial Close for Sizewell C in November 2025. This established Sizewell C as the first financed nuclear project through the Regulated Asset Base model. Beyond Financial Close, I have overseen the implementation of the project’s post-investment governance framework, advised the Board and Executive Team on major strategic decisions, strengthened regulatory and governance assurance, managed complex legal and reputational risks, and continued to develop a high-performing legal function that supports the successful delivery of one of Europe’s largest infrastructure and energy projects.

Please provide a brief description of any internal transformation/development projects within your legal team over the last twelve months.

Over the past twelve months, I have led a significant transformation of the Sizewell C legal function to align more closely with the organisation’s multidisciplinary team (MDT) structure, embedding legal professionals directly alongside key business areas to enhance collaboration, improve decision-making and ensure legal advice is delivered proactively and at the point of need. This restructuring has strengthened legal support across a complex and rapidly evolving project environment while developing a more commercially focused and integrated team. In parallel, we have continued to explore opportunities to leverage technology and AI to improve efficiency and knowledge management, while maintaining robust governance and quality standards.

Looking ahead, we have also initiated a strategic review of our external legal panel, with a formal panel refresh planned for Q3/Q4 2026 to ensure we continue to secure the best expertise, innovation and value for the organisation as Sizewell C moves into its next phase of delivery.
