Which recent political, economic, or regulatory changes have impacted the company and the team the most?

Covid-19 fundamentally impacted political, economic and regulatory matters for almost all businesses. Taking the air gas market into consideration specifically, this fundamental impact of Covid 19 is primarily related to the acceleration in demand for medical oxygen.

Once demand for medical oxygen increased related to the effects of the pandemic, we needed to adopt new methods and change our current working conditions. This meant we had to be on call around the clock.

The process of what happened in a situation of high demand and supply during the pandemic  also clearly demonstrated that batch releasing of medical oxygen must be regulated under a separate clause than the general one related to pharmaceuticals. This is due to the high cost and design requirements for the cylinders and the specific rules and times mandated for transportation of medical oxygen as a dangerous good.

What do you think are the biggest risks facing your industry now and how are you preparing your company and team to face these risks?

Risks associated with Covid-19 are still ongoing in our sector. In addition to the pandemic, high inflation, effects on compliance caused by the current economic conditions and competition law must be considered by us regularly.

Due to the unknown nature of the future, we are preparing ourselves to adapt quickly to new challenges and opportunities, and always be agile for decision making and business acumen mechanisms.

To avoid uncompliant matters, we will continuously have open communication on compliance and competition issues by taking into consideration the specific problem of each department, all while maintaining full trust between all departments.
