First, can you please give us an idea of the sort of work your team has done recently (cases, transactions, projects)?

Although 2021 has been a challenging year, and the whole team continues to work remotely, we have been involved in three major projects. We engaged in new employment models — contracts were renewed in order to accommodate remote working. The legal department was heavily involved with the HR department to assist with all the relevant documentation. Additionally, in 2021- 2022 we established the Tofas compliance project — it involves every aspect of compliance. The legal department was given this role for implementation, and a new organisation was created reporting directly to the chief legal counsel.

What do you think are the biggest risks facing your industry at the moment and how are you preparing your company and team to face these risks?

The most considerable short-term risk facing our industry is undoubtedly the current supply problems — disrupting the manufacturing processes. The legal challenge is confronting the risks and solving issues with suppliers failing to abide by contractual obligations.
