Petrol Ofisi was founded as the first and national brand of fuel products and lubricants in Turkey in February 1941. Today it has a strong and unparalleled infrastructure in Turkey, consisting of more than 1,700 fuel stations, more than 1,400 village pumps, nine fuel terminals, three LPG terminals, 20 airport refuelling units, one lubricant factor and approximately 1.1 million metres-cubed of storage capacity. The in-house legal department at the company has impressed peers when tasked with a number of high scale purchases and partnerships. The team also assisted in the June 2017 acquisition of OMV Petrol Ofisi Holding by VIP Turkey Enerji, a subsidiary of Vitol Investment Partnership, from Vienna-based OMV for around €1.38bn.
