He has received a series of promotions during this time, and became chief legal counsel of the over-€20bn revenue company in 2006. Yılmaz has overseen a corresponding expansion of the responsibilities of the legal department as his role has increased, and now the input of the legal team is seen as indispensable when making a business decision.
