Mathias Gaertner is the general counsel and member of the executive committee of Holcim Group. Alongside his team, he manages Holcim’s legal affairs in over 60 countries globally in all sectors, including M&A, litigation, regulatory matters and security and resilience, among others.

Mathias started his career at Baker McKenzie in Germany and then joined Skadden, where he worked as a corporate and M&A attorney on international transactions in Frankfurt, Germany, and New York. Before joining Holcim, Mathias worked for Honeywell International, taking on various general counsel positions, most recently as general counsel of the building technologies division in Atlanta, US.
