Caitlin St Vincent Welch is an executive legal counsel specialising in technology, intellectual property, data privacy and commercial law. She is currently working in the IT digital advisory legal team at Swiss Re. In this role she is supporting the Swiss Re technology strategy, leading the legal support for the Cloud Transformation initiative, supporting the Cloud governance processes and generally providing legal support on Cloud related matters. As an individual who is driven by the fast pace of technology and innovation, she strives to improve and adapt her legal skills to provide relevant and professional legal support to businesses and IT teams. Welch is passionate about innovation and leadership within the legal team and thoroughly enjoys developing strong relationships with the business where her team members are respected as trusted partners while contributing to support the growth of the company. Welch has strong communication and collaboration skills and work wells in teams both locally and internationally; her strong negotiation and problem solving skills have enabled her to successfully partner with the business teams to support commercial transactions. As the general counsel for Avanade Australia between 2011 and 2016, she was a member of the executive leadership team and supported strategy, innovation initiatives, corporate functions and was the co-chair of the diversity and inclusion committee.
